Avenging Allaire Underway
I got my first review of Avenging Allaire. You gotta check it out. You Gotta Read. Thanks so much, Val! It is really great when you've worked hard and people like the results. Val said I have a brilliant mind. A beta reader said the same thing this week. I don't dare tell them I'm blonde!
I'm up in the author's corner over at Mistress Bella's Interviews too. If you want to learn more about me and what it's like to be an author, please visit. Being with a small publisher, I spend an awful lot of time working on self-promotion. Many close to me might get really tired of the constant pulse of info and reminders but every time you tell somebody else about my books, it increases my chance for a sale. So thanks for hanging with me and it'll get worse!
Last time I spoke with my editor, Avenging was going through copy editing. I'm really pushing Jewel to get the book done before November 1. I have a signing on Thanksgiving night in Ely, Minnesota and I have to have print copies for that. With the holidays coming, you can imagine printers getting jammed with authors' holiday promotions. I'm looking forward to the signing - I think. It's going to be a fun night seeing old friends. It does mean I won't get my shopping done that night tho. Dang!
I started working on the trailer for Avenging yesterday. It took me for-flippin-ever to find the version of the Led Zeplin song I want to use and download it. Yikes. There are a lot of choices out there to get scammed and virused. I am going to spend the day looking for photos to use and editing. I think it is so gonna rock and I hope you'll absolutely have to have the book once you see the trailer.
I've spent quite a bit of time on my work in progress, Love Bites. I've retitled it Dangerous Love. My friend, Lauri, and I were talking and I was complaining I just couldn't come up with a suitable title and wham, after she asked me to explain the story, there came the title. Duh! I've probably got about 30 pages left to go on that book. The first half is like the roller coaster ramp up...a few twists and turns, maybe a dip or two but the last half gains speed and right now, I know you wouldn't be able to put the book down if you like thrillers - especially paranormals. My vamp Wade is pulling out all the stops to help Jui. Wonder when he's gonna say the L word? I guess he'll have to avoid the exterminating team in order to do it. Our poor hero has been warned and warned about staying way from the beautiful human. Death by fire has his name next to it. It's not a family game...LOL
After I finish writing my current book I'm going to start in on my childrens' series. I hope the few ideas I have rattling around in my brain pan out!
I couldn't sleep and it's ghastly early here. Lots on my mind. I sure would like to hand over a bunch of my worries to somebody else. That crystal ball I got for Christmas when I was ten is on the fritz. Guess I'll have to keep plugging along. Don't drop me, okay God?
Until the next time.
