Merry Christmas
I couldn't let the holidays come to an end without wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This has been quite a ride for me as an author. Three book contracts in one year and two releases. Pretty cool. I'm learning something new all the time - mostly that I still have a lot to learn. Thanks to all of you who bought my books and took the time to tell me how much you enjoyed them. I am still editing my latest novel and have a children's book rolling around my brain that I will begin after Christmas.I hope 2010 brings each of you great happiness and excellent health. I hope you find time to reach out to somebody who might be a little down on their luck - or a lot down on their luck. There's a Christmas song out this year that really strikes a chord with me. Part of the refrain says, "What if I told you, that you had the power to give someone hope beyond their wildest dreams." Giving somebody a hand up when they're down accomplishes that.
I've been making candy for the past three days - English toffee, triple chocolate fudge, and something called Miner's Run Candy - which is like a sponge candy dipped in what else? Chocolate! Tonight I have a cookie exchange, but it's all about the wine and the women who will be there. We'll have plenty of company over the holidays and while the gift exchanges are going to be significantly less, a good laugh is worth more than a prezzi sometimes. Sometimes. LOL
I'm keeping all our soldiers, near and far, in my prayers. I especially pray for my BIL Mike, and my nephew, Justin. Mike should be home from Iraq soon. Justin has just begun a year in Afghanistan. I sent Justin some "snow." Hope he gets it. Mike's mail was cut off a couple weeks ago because they were moving. It'll be a hard candy Christmas for a lot of families who have loved ones in the war but you have the power to give someone hope beyond their wildest dreams.

Merry Christmas.
Until the Next Time.
The Churchlady
